2022 End of Year Creative Inpiration from Regis Aged Care.

2022. What a year it’s been. We truly ramped up and settled into our new office space. We finished projects and started new ones. We were traveling again - for work and play. This year we’ve won awards, lectured the designers of the future at Curtin University, trained designers of today in specialist workshops, and interviewed some interesting and insightful people for our Deb talks. Next year we want all this and more. We are excited to show our creativity, share our knowledge and achieve some of the big things we have been working on. Creativity is a part of everyone here in the office and we know it’s something we will never lose. This is certainly the case for Regis resident Chris Thomson. Chris is a very talented artist and it is great to see he is being supported and encouraged to continue his passion.

“I find my art incredibly therapeutic and creative, it’s something I’ve enjoyed throughout my life and it’s wonderful to be able to continue to paint”

We have spoken about the wonders of art therapy before. The benefits range from relaxation to recalling happy memories. It is not only art therapy that has these benefits. It’s every loved hobby for each individual. Some may love fixing bikes, others cooking or like Chris, painting. It is wonderful to see facilities providing spaces for residents to continue to do what makes them happy and maintain a sense of self.
