De Fiddes, GBA Architects and CapeCare team up for dementia design research

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Research Grant Scheme Project funding through the University of Notre Dame Australia for our project titled: “Exploring the design, construction and implementation of a regional residential aged care facility using a collaborative approach”. 

In partnership with Gary Batt Associates Architects and Capecare, we are looking forward to this research journey with the building scheduled for completion in March 2021.

“The transparency provided by the glazed corridors facilitates way finding and offers a continuous outlook onto landscaped courtyards. These easily accessible courtyards allow the residents to obtain fresh air and sunshine whilst safely actively or passively engaging in their surrounds within subtle view of staff members.”
