Nature can make us happier, healthier and more creative!

Have you heard of Forest Therapy?

The wonderful concept is a research- based public health practice of guided immersion in forests with the aim of promoting physical and mental health whilst relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. In the 1980’s, Japan recognized the physiological and psychological dangers of stress and depression and sought out a new, affordable and effective way to combat it. This was the beginning of “Shinrin-yoku”, roughly translated as ‘taking in the forest atmosphere’ or ‘forest immersion’. Across the last three decades this led to the development of the Public health approach of Forest Therapy.

Forest Therapy is gaining acknowledgment globally as evidence based, cost effective and natural medicine! You may also recall our post on Biophilic design and its importance for humans to not only stay connected to nature but also interact and be a part of the natural process.

With the weather warming up we encourage you all to embrace the outdoors for that natural health kick!

Can’t make it outdoors right now? You can also listen to sounds of the forests around the world here!
