Mid Year Design News

I don't know if it is because I am getting older but I am astonished that 6 months has flown by and we are about to enter the second half of the year - which I know is going to be as jam packed and as exciting as the first half.

We have just had our delightful client Maria from Hong Kong visit our office with her wonderful team. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to show them several aged care facilities as well as some of our WA hospitality.

During their visit, not only did we have the opportunity to discuss many things about their project, but also lengthy discussions on suitable products for both retirement and aged care.

Product has become an absolute minefield in this industry. There are so many companies coming out of the woodwork trying to become involved in what they perceive as a lucrative market. Many of the furniture newcomers come from a hospitality background and whilst the product may look good it doesn't necessarily mean it is fit for purpose within aged care. Thankfully we have our clinical director, Samantha Neylon, on board. Sam reviews each product individually against her strict criteria. Sadly many items fail, but good companies take that on board and look at ways they can improve the product to ensure that they are selling something that is going to work.

Almost daily, we are approached by companies trying to sell their wares - and I'm sure all our clients are too. Please feel free to contact us at anytime if you are unsure about a product and would like to ensure that we have put it through their paces.
