Debbie has attended and presented at a number of industry conferences in Australia and internationally, had a study tour through the Netherlands, England and Scotland, had several articles published in journals and magazines, researched and presented to client groups on trends in aged care and retirement and to top off her year Debbie decided to tie the knot and was married in November.

The Design Department also had an incredibly busy year. The girls attended a number of interesting fairs and conferences including Denfair, AIFF, Décor and Design. Some of the highlights have been Mona, PechaKucha and Jamie Hayon. Erin particularly enjoyed Melbourne in Design which she found  truly inspiring, walking around South Melbourne to hidden locations viewing showrooms, art installations, food, music and design. The team also attended various professional workshops and a fascinating talk on technology within buildings.

We have been fortunate enough to work on many fantastic projects both locally and interstate, some just beginning and many have ended with a tale to be told by the girls on the crazy life of designers! Stories such as working to the eleventh hour to finish a project to find the only meal available at 2am was a kebab with the Uber driver, back to the hotel for literally an hours sleep before heading to the airport to board a plane at 6am to head home!

What a rewarding year it has been and we have loved every crazy minute. So happy holiday wishes to everyone, we will be heading off for a well earned break from 22nd December with some of the team returning on 3rd January.

What a rewarding year it has been and we have loved every crazy minute.
